Look down at Cherry Creek, in its sunken stone-walled channel below Speer Boulevard. You're standing between two founding towns.
Look for the small stone chapel, dwarfed by the campus buildings around it. Built in 1876, it's Denver's oldest church building still standing. It began as Emmanuel Episcopal Chapel. In 1903 the Shearith Israel congregation bought it and turned it into a synagogue, changing the inside very little.
Look along these two rows of small Victorian houses, with their iron fences and red stone sidewalks. They went up between 1872 and 1906, and they're called the oldest restored block of homes in the city.
Look up at the Tivoli's tower, about 114 feet tall, with its blue mansard roof. In the big arch above the company name plate, find the six-pointed star.
Look up at the white mast leaning over the footbridge, with its cables fanning down to the deck. It rises 200 feet.
